Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Now Open

Wondering what's new and exciting in Myrtle Beach in 2010? Topping the list is the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, a 1.2 mile people-friendly passageway stretching from 2nd Avenue Pier to 14th Avenue Pier. Approximately one mile of the boardwalk is complete and open to the public with the remaining section to be finished in the coming weeks. Three distinct sections beckon beach lovers, ranging from a wooden-deck North Walkway with natural coastal landscaping, to a grand Central Section bordering the shops and eateries of Ocean Boulevard, to a relaxing park-like atmosphere on the South Promenade.

FDNY 9/11 Memorial Golf Outing May 16-20

Join more than 1,000 firefighters from around the country for three-days of golf, food, drink, fun and even a belly flop contest! The Alfred E. Ronaldson Spring Golf Classic started in Orange County, N.Y., in May 1992. It has since expanded and changed host locations to sunny Myrtle Beach, SC. If you are looking for a low stress, tons of fun, charity golf event, you don't want to miss the FDNY 9/11 Memorial Golf Outing.

Beach Blast Christian Music Festival - May 22nd

Myrtle Beach's largest Christian Music Festival A ticket event Performances by Toby Mac, Kutless, The Afters, KJ-52 and David Nasser. Special fireworks finale and food, arts and crafts vendors.

The Veterans Golf Classic May 24-26
Military Veterans, active Military personnel and their families from across the country come together in Myrtle Beach for fun, great golf and camaraderie. This 54-hole, two person team tournament, features a different format each day and is flighted based on the combined team handicap. Singles are always welcome and will be paired with other players by the event staff.
